📖 How to Use This Tool

+
This tool converts between grams (g), milligrams (mg), micrograms (mcg/ug), nanograms (ng), milliliters (mL), and International Units (IU). These are the most common units used in peptide research dosing and vial labeling.
IU (International Units) are compound-specific — 1 IU means different amounts of mass depending on the substance. When you select IU as a unit, enter the compound's potency (IU per mg). For example, HGH is approximately 3 IU/mg, and insulin is approximately 28 IU/mg. Check your compound's Certificate of Analysis for the exact potency.
mL (milliliters) is a volume unit, while mg/mcg are mass units. A direct conversion requires knowing the solution density. For most aqueous peptide solutions (reconstituted with BAC water), density is approximately 1 g/mL, so 1 mL ≈ 1,000 mg. This tool uses that approximation — for precise work, use the Reconstitution Calculator.
