This tool converts between grams (g), milligrams (mg), micrograms (mcg/ug), nanograms (ng), milliliters (mL), and International Units (IU). These are the most common units used in peptide research dosing and vial labeling.
IU (International Units) are compound-specific — 1 IU means different amounts of mass depending on the substance. When you select IU as a unit, enter the compound's potency (IU per mg). For example, HGH is approximately 3 IU/mg, and insulin is approximately 28 IU/mg. Check your compound's Certificate of Analysis or manufacturer specs for the exact potency.
mL (milliliters) is a volume unit, while mg/mcg are mass units. A direct conversion between them requires knowing the density of the solution. For most aqueous peptide solutions (reconstituted with BAC water), the density is approximately 1 g/mL, so 1 mL is approximately 1,000 mg. This tool uses that approximation — for precise work, consult your reconstitution parameters using the Reconstitution Calculator.
Yes — click any result card to instantly copy that value to your clipboard. The highlighted card (in red) shows the unit you selected as your target conversion.
Very large or very small numbers (like converting 1 mg to nanograms = 1,000,000 ng) are displayed in scientific notation for readability. The full decimal is used internally for all calculations.
