📖 How to Use This Tool
The Protocol Plotter is a pharmacokinetic (PK) simulator that visualizes how a compound builds up in your system over time. It models steady-state concentrations — the point where intake and elimination are balanced.
Use it to understand how dose size and frequency affect relative concentration levels over an 8-week period.
The chart shows relative plasma concentration (Y-axis) over time in days (X-axis).
- Peaks = highest concentration after each dose
- Troughs = lowest concentration before the next dose
- Steady State = repeating pattern after ~4-5 weeks
A flatter curve = more stable levels. A spiky curve = more fluctuation between doses.
- Peak: The maximum concentration reached after dosing.
- Trough: The minimum concentration right before your next dose.
- Fluctuation %: How much levels swing between peak and trough. Lower fluctuation (≤20%) = more stable, often better tolerated.
When your protocol achieves ≤20% fluctuation, you'll see the gold "Optimized Stability" badge. This indicates minimal peaks and troughs — levels stay relatively consistent.
This is often achieved by using smaller, more frequent doses rather than larger, less frequent ones.
Click "+ Compare" to add a second protocol (green line). This lets you visualize two different dosing strategies side-by-side.
Common comparisons:
- Weekly vs twice-weekly dosing
- Different compounds at equivalent doses
- Higher dose / less frequent vs lower dose / more frequent
